“ And I will take up my cross and follow Lord where you lead me I will take up my cross and follow wherever you go When you stand the tall trees and mountains bow When you speak the fiercest of oceans is still.” When I first heard this song the first thing that popped into my mind was Why? why would God love a sinner like me? why would He turn himself to a man in the likeness of Jesus to just be persecuted for a worthless man like me? why would He leave all that He have in exchange of Suffering and taking my sins away? And the answer was simple, It was because of God’s unending love to humanity that even though He is a king, that all things follow and obey him, He still gave Himself up for humanity, for us to be with Him in heaven and not in hell. Now, What am I to do, What are we to do? We need to Take up our cross and follow Him with Faith that even though sometimes we don’t know how things will end up all we need to do is have faith in God.
